True to form, Cableguys added a new plugin to its stable just before Black Friday, with the drum compressor Snapback. This pattern followed Black Friday 2023, when the company added ReverbShaper. Cableguys continues to offer a disappointing Black Friday deal for their flagship Shaperbox bundle, maintaing a derisory 10% or $10 off, for one month.
To their credit, at least in 2024 Cableguys increased the discount on the new Snapback plugin to 40%, bringing the full price of $49 down to $29. Therefore on the whole we increase our Black Friday rating to 3 stars.
Length Rating
More than a month is on the higher end across brands, and longer than prior years.
Breadth Rating
Only the Shaperbox bundle and the new Snapback plugin attract a discount but not individual plugins.
