FabFilter teases Volcano 3 before it erupts
FabFilter released a teaser video on 16th November 2021, announcing the imminent arrival of version 3 of FabFilter's VST effect plugin Volcano 2*.
New features confirmed by FabFilter in the video include:
- Redesigned interface: Embracing the darker user interface from its brethren FabFilter Pro Q 3 EQ* and FabFilter Timeless 3 delay*
- New filter types: Added non-linear bell and shelf filters
- Enhanced filter quality: High Quality mode added
- Drive control: Enhanced saturation control to overdrive filters
FabFilter have not confirmed a release date yet, but we reckon it will be a matter of days, as they did when they released FabFilter Timeless 3 in May this year.
